Our properties in the Limburg Province

The province of Limburg is the green side of Flanders. Hoge Kempen National Park, Belgium's largest national park, spreads across Genk, As, Maasmechelen and Maaseik with its heathland, marshes and extensive pine forests. Cyclists and walkers have long valued Limburg as one of the best regions in the country for exploring nature at a gentle pace. In the north of the province lies Bosland National Park, Limburg's second national park, with extensive forests, heath and the drifting sand of the Lommel Sahara.

Tongeren, the oldest town in Belgium, draws history lovers with its Gallo-Roman Museum and weekly antiques market. Hasselt, the provincial capital, surprises visitors with a lively town centre, a Japanese garden, a long jenever tradition and the indoor theme park Plopsa Indoor. Bokrijk, the open-air museum set among the woods, is a dependable day out for families. Every spring the Limburg fruit region around Sint-Truiden and Borgloon turns into a spectacular sea of blossom.

Holiday homes in Limburg come in many forms: rustic farmhouses in the fruit region, modern houses on the edge of the Hoge Kempen park and warm cottages with a fenced garden in the Meuse area. The province is well served by the E313, E314 and E40, so a quiet stay in nature is easy to combine with a day trip to Brussels or Antwerp.
