What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help us keep the website running properly and understand how visitors use the site.
Which cookies do we use?
Necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the website to function. You cannot disable them.
| Cookie | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| sb-* | Owner login status (Supabase Auth) | Session / 1 year |
| cookie_consent | Remembers your cookie preference | 1 year (localStorage) |
| aanmelden_stap1_v1 | Keeps your unfinished registration form so you do not lose anything on a reload. Stays on your own device. Your password and agreements are never in it. | Until your registration succeeds, or 7 days (localStorage) |
| pf_draft_v1_* | The same for editing your property in the dashboard | Until you save (localStorage) |
| vakantiewoningen_favorieten | Remembers which properties you marked as favourites, so they are still there when you come back. Stays on your device. | Until you remove them or clear your browser storage (localStorage) |
| vib:list-*, vib:home-* | Remembers where you were in a list, so you return to the same spot after viewing a property instead of to the top. | Until you close your browser (sessionStorage) |
| paywall_mollie_failed | Remembers a failed payment so you can resume it without filling in your property again. | Until you close your browser (sessionStorage) |
Analytical cookies(only with your consent)
We only set these after you click Accept. Google Analytics anonymously tracks how many visitors the site receives and which pages are viewed most. The first two in the table do something different and are not anonymous: they remember how you reached the site, and if you then sign up as a host or send a booking request, we link that origin to your request. That is why we ask.
| Cookie | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| vib_herkomst | Remembers how you reached the site, so we know which channel worked when someone signs up as a host. Never contains the term you searched for. | 90 days (localStorage) |
| vib_utm | Remembers the campaign code from the link you arrived through, so a booking request is linked to the right source. | 30 days (localStorage) |
| _ga | Distinguishes unique visitors (Google Analytics) | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Session data (Google Analytics) | 2 years |
Our own visit figures(set without consent, for us only)
To see how many people view our pages, including a holiday home or our information for owners, and what they click next, we keep one item in your browser’s storage. It stays on your device, we share it with no one, and we do not use it to follow you across other websites. It is set without us asking, because it only counts visits and is never linked to your name or address. It disappears after 13 months.
| Cookie | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| vib_visitor_id | Tells unique visitors apart in our own per-page visit figures, so we can count people and not just clicks. | 13 months (localStorage) |
