Our story

I'm Zayn, founder of Belgium Holiday Homes. The idea for the platform grew out of my own family's experience.

My mother rents out holiday homes in the Ardennes. That gave me a close view of what private owners need and what frustrates them: dependence on large booking platforms, high commissions, and the difficulty of getting enough direct bookings.

Having a good website of your own is often no longer enough. Even if you rank well in Google for specific terms, the broad searches people start with are largely taken by the big booking platforms. Those offer plenty of reach and convenience, but they charge steep commissions for it.

We also tried listing sites that send guests straight to the owner's website. There we saw a problem too. The visitor has to open another site every time, look up availability and prices again, and work out how to book. That takes time and makes people give up.

That is why we are building Belgium Holiday Homes. A platform where holidaymakers can search and compare properties in one place, and then book directly with the owner.

The owner's booking calendar is built into the platform. The guest gets the convenience of a large booking platform, while the reservation goes straight into the owner's own system. No commission on the booking. No middleman between guest and owner.

Trust matters too. That is why visitors can see the owner's genuine Google Reviews on the property pages. Owners we verify through a short video call or an automated document check receive a verification badge.

We are still in our early stages. Our visibility in Google is growing step by step, and we keep working every day on reach, quality and reliability.

Our goal is simple: make booking direct as easy as booking through a large platform, without a high commission in between.
