Stavelot is about 160 kilometres from Brussels: by the E40 and then the E42, allow around 1 hour 40. Liège is 45 minutes away, Aachen just under an hour. On the way you pass Spa and Francorchamps, and Malmedy as well as the High Fens are a quarter of an hour away: a single base is enough for the whole Amblève region.
