De Lotuspoort B&B in de Abdij van Bornem

De Lotuspoort is a homely meeting place on the grounds of Bornem Abbey, surrounded by greenery. Hilde and her team have made it a place where rest and a sense of home come first: with a spiritual atmosphere but without any religious affiliation. A place to catch your breath. De Lotuspoort has six rooms with 21 beds in total, all on the first floor. The rooms are spacious and bright, simply and tastefully furnished, and each has its own washbasin, shower and toilet. You can choose a room for two or three people or a family room for four or five. Room 6 has a small adjoining room, handy if you travel with children. Downstairs are a bar, a living room and the breakfast room. In the morning a healthy, varied breakfast is served, to be booked in advance. Breakfast starts at 9 am; earlier is possible on request. Outside there is a large terrace with a fire pit. Guests come here for a few quiet days away from it all, as a stop on a cycling or walking trip, during a retreat, or before and after a celebration. Groups are welcome for a family weekend, a workshop or a team building day. On request, De Lotuspoort also arranges lunch and dinner, a massage or a meditation session. Bornem lies in Klein-Brabant, not far from the Scheldt, between Antwerp, Mechelen and Ghent. There is parking and bike storage. Check-in from 2 pm, check-out until 11 am.
