Why a jacuzzi in the Ardennes?

The combination of active time outdoors and relaxing in a jacuzzi is what makes the Ardennes unique. You walk through the Hertogenwald in the morning, kayak on the Lesse in the afternoon and sink into the warm bath in the evening. The Ardennes also provide the ideal wellness setting: peaceful surroundings, little light or noise pollution, and homes that often stand apart. A marked difference from a jacuzzi at a seaside resort where the neighbours can watch.

What to expect?

The homes in this selection have a private jacuzzi or private hot tub, exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. Most are outdoors, though some sit in an enclosed wellness room. The owner will explain on arrival how to start the jacuzzi and look after it during your stay. Towels are provided at most homes, bathrobes not always, so bring your own.

Tips for your stay

• Do not use the jacuzzi straight after exercise. Let your body cool down for a quarter of an hour to avoid circulation problems.
• Bring bathrobes and slippers if the home does not provide them. The walk from a hot jacuzzi back indoors can be icy in winter.
• A jacuzzi in winter is something special, but check whether the owner charges a supplement or includes it.
• Contact the owner straight away if the jacuzzi is not up to temperature on arrival. Heating it up can take several hours.
