Glamping in the Campine is a different experience from glamping in the Ardennes. The nature is flatter, the atmosphere more peaceful, and the people the Campine attracts are simply looking to slow down. No adventurous mountain trails, but vast stretches of heather, silent ponds and the scent of pine forests.

The Campine has a growing range of glamping accommodations: safari tents on farms, tiny houses at the edge of recreation ponds and lodges hidden among the pines. These places are often smaller and warmer than the big glamping parks and offer more personal contact with the owner.
Glamping in the Campine is ideal for couples after a quiet weekend or for small families who want to introduce the children to nature without giving up comfort entirely. The region is easy to reach from Antwerp, Turnhout and Hasselt, which lowers the threshold for a spontaneous weekend.
The Campine is unjustly Belgium's least-known glamping region. It has one trump card the Ardennes cannot offer: absolute silence. No rushing river, no tourist bustle. In the middle of the heath or beside a Campine fishing pond, the night is so still you can hear nature breathe. For anyone who lives in a city, that is an experience in its own right. The region also offers plenty of activities that suit a quiet stay: cycling, fishing, kayaking on the Kleine Nete or walks through De Wijers.
Glamping accommodations in the Campine are generally small-scale. Most belong to a farm or a small recreation estate. You will find a safari tent or tiny house with a real bed, a private bathroom and a terrace or veranda. Fire pits are almost standard, and so is the barbecue. Prices are usually a little lower than in the Ardennes: 60 to 160 euros per night for two.
